If you’ve read this far, hello. My named is Allan, and I take pictures.

You might know me because I used to write political blogs, you might have known me from work, or you follow me on social media. I’ve now decided to go back to blogging, but not as you would know it. I’m not writing about politics or sport, but I will be writing about photography. Specifically mine.
Making this move wasn’t something I was thinking about till last month when I started to think about showcasing my pictures. At the same time a couple of my colleagues, who had bought one of my calendars had asked if I’d thought about setting up a website since the only outlet for my photography was either through my calendar’s or Instagram (Allan.Moore.1975 if you’re interested). Since New Year, it has been something I’d been actively looking at. Firstly to showcase my photography and also to take myself out of my comfort zone. To put myself out there you might say…
It’s not going to be just about the pictures, there will be short pieces about the pictures giving context. The pictures will be mostly landscape pictures, because I’ve not had a chance to flex my portrait chops and with the current pandemic I’m not going to get the chance to for some time. That’s not to say I’m not open to collaborating with people in the future. But hopefully as this site grows, I will grow with it.
One other thing to say, i hope you enjoy my pictures.
I’m sure we’ll all enjoy your pictures, Allan. Certainly Mt. Teide is a spectacular shot. I look forward to seeing some more and perhaps you’ll join in some of the photo challenges on WP. I was a travel journalist and photographer for many years, now I just enjoy life but still travelling and taking pictures when I can but no longer carrying heavy equipment around.
